Joining Surrey Freemasons

Joining the Freemasons in Surbiton, Surrey.

Our Masons Lodge in the Province of Surrey welcomes new enquiries.

Lodge Light From The East is a vibrant, friendly lodge whose members come from all walks of life and mainly from the local area around Surbiton and other towns in Surrey.

You might feel that the time is now right for you to consider becoming a Freemasons and all you need to do is ask!

Our site is designed to give you the information you need. In particular the questions and answers about Freemasonry which should help you to make your decision.

Freemasonry does require some basic elements which include some call on your time and commitment to the Lodge.

Although we have four meetings per year we also meet for Lodge of Instruction (LofI) during the Masonic season. This will give you the opportunity to learn about Freemasonry and the various offices in the lodge. LofI is also a great place to get to know members of the lodge and have fun in learning.

So you want to be a Freemasons?

There are a number of steps to be taken before joining. The most important, is for you to get to know us and vice versa.

We will invite you along to our Masonic Lodge at Glenmore House, Surbiton and encourage you to visit as many times as you can to get to meet the members.

We may also invite you (and your family) to any of our social functions.

Should you decide that you want to join Lodge Light From the East you will need to complete an application form and a short interview will be conducted by the Lodge committee.

At our next available meeting your application will be read out in open lodge after which a date will be set for you to join the Freemasons.

During each step of your application a member of the Lodge will keep you informed of your progress.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would like to visit our Masons Lodge in Surbiton, Surrey.
